The Mustang Club Victoria Branch was the first to be established in Australia in 1974 and is now part of a strong national membership of over 2,500 owners.

The Club holds monthly meetings in Melbourne’s CBD in a friendly social atmosphere where Mustangs are the general topic of the evening.

We also hold monthly outings which are generally family oriented.

Mustang Club news is available to members on a regular basis through the Club Magazine while a national edition comes out mid-year.

Even if you are contemplating buying a Mustang, by joining and associating with other owners, you can be helped to get the best value, the right car and the right options by being a whole lot wiser before you set out on your investment.

The Club caters for all Mustangs, 1964 to present models, stock or modified.

If you would like to be part of the Mustang scene and enjoy the company of other enthusiasts, join in the social events and get in touch with solving your Mustang queries, you are welcome to call the Club President on 03 9579 0996 or Contact Us.

Hi members, I thought it might be good to get a post running on what have member's been doing in their lives whilst in lock down? There is no doubt that a few projects have progressed in both our love of Mustangs and also in the homes that we live. If you'd like to share with us what you have accomplished please post away.
Thanks Macka

We've played tetris with the cars in the shed after temporarily gaining another mustang but sadly they've all stayed under wraps.

We bought a convertible to go with the fastback

All three of our cars have been detailed inside and out. They have also had oil changed and brakes checked and adjusted. In my spare time I have also detailed a prime mover 6 other cars and two motor bikes. Can't wait to get back on the road.

I know it's not a mustang, but i did use a mustang fender cover during this clients engine swap on his C10 pickup

Built a xa falcon coupe!

Two power steering rebuilds and still have a small leak so rebuild no 3. And since the complete rebuild (now 450hp) she’s been throwing fan belts off the alternator anytime I give her a decent prod with the right foot. So working through a few options trying to keep her as original looking as possible

Dear members,

Well by now I was hoping we would all be close to catching up and meetings could return. It appears that it will not be the case at least for two or more months depending on what transpires regarding COVID transmissions.

So I guess we stay at home and polish the cars just a little more. I did manage a trip to the go cart track with my grandson. The social distancing was in place and when in a cart you cannot get to close, although as I found out the combative juices flow and you can see how addictive motor racing is. We used to have a night out at the go carts with races for the young, races for the ladies, mixed races and finally races for the most combative. I remember Graham Bell’s daughter at quite a young age was very competitive and could handle a cart very well. I am missing meetings dreadfully and hoping that sometime soon we can all get back to some normality. I fear as the time gets closer there may be no roundup this year. Rest assured, if things change suddenly the committee who are still meeting and working away so when the tick comes to start your engines let’s make it something special, like the end of Covid round up.

Thank you to all those that sent in renewals and remember you need to be a current member to drive your club plated vehicle. I drive mine in and out of work every now and then to keep them alive.

Now just a thought I had was following along from the AFL and NRL we could introduce a hub. I am proposing taking over the spirt of Tasmania filling it with cars floating around for 10 days so we are all nicely quarantined then pulling into Davenport unloading the cars finding a quiet beautiful spot in Tassie of which there are plenty set up a hub and play cars. We can all come out when the virus has cleared out.

I look forward to our next catch up with you all. My eyes are going square.

Keep on Mustanging

All good Ian There’s an old song! We’ll meet again, don’t know where don’t no when! But See you all then🥳

Tough on you guys in Melbourne . Plenty of time to do all the jobs around the house and be ready to cruise when this is over.

Lovely to hear from you, we take ours out to run the aircon 🥶 ❄️ ☃️ on the rare sunny day, then we rug her up and tuck her back in bed. Stay safe and hopefully we'll be able to have another run again soon 🏎️

good words Pres. keep safe...cya soon

Thanks Ian. It's hard for us all, starting a new 6-week lockdown. But posts like yours reminds us there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks mate 👍 🐎

All our thoughts are with you guys down there in Victoria. This sure does suck for everyone. Time to focus on doing any repairs or mods to your mustangs. Stay safe, play safe and keep polishing your babies. Ed Callander Vice President MOCA - Qld
