Victorian Mustang Club History

The Victorian Branch was the first to be established in Australia in 1974 and is now part of a strong national membership of over 2,500 owners. The Club holds monthly meetings in Melbourne’s CBD in a friendly social atmosphere where Mustangs are the general topic of the evening. We also hold monthly outings which are generally family oriented and we conduct an annual display and Concours of Mustangs on the last Sunday in October. Other public days are incorporated into the Club calendar where possible including Australia Day, January 26 in Bayswater.

Mustang Club news is available to members on a regular basis while a national edition comes out mid-year.

All Mustangs are manufactured in the USA and to convert to right hand drive (if required) can add about $15,000 to the initial cost of a 1964 to 1973 model while later models can cost up around $40,000.

As the early Mustangs are over thirty years old, restoration is often required and we can help put you in touch with the parts and service suppliers you may need. Some new parts are still available and, due to world-wide demand, many have been reproduced and are available through local sources.

Even if you are contemplating buying a Mustang, by joining and associating with other owners, you can be helped to get the best value, the right car and the right options by being a whole lot wiser before you set out on your investment.

The Club caters for all Mustangs, 1964 to present models, stock or modified. If you would like to be part of the Mustang scene and enjoy the company of other enthusiasts, join in the social events and get in touch with solving your Mustang queries, you are welcome to call the Club President on 03 9579 0996 or email ->> Click Here
